In the town of Mount Jewett, McKean County, deep within the northcentral wilderness of the Pennsylvania Wilds lies a monument to innovation. A feat of engineering some have dubbed the Eighth Wonder of the World, the Kinzua Viaduct was the highest railroad viaduct in the world when it was first built in just 94 days in 1882, bringing to life the vision of General Thomas L. Kane. "Armed with ingenuity," General Kane guided the construction of the great viaduct. By 1900, 40 to 150 men rebuilt the entire structure in 105 days using 6.7 million pounds of steel to accommodate heavier trains. Once spanning 2,053 feet long and 301 feet tall, the bridge was reinvented as the Kinzua Skywalk after an F1 tornado ripped 11 towers from their bases in 2003. The skywalk has been named "One of the Top 3 Skywalks in the World." If you are looking for a way to remember this incredible experience, to pay homage to this historic structure, or to celebrate braving the height of the skywalk, this is the shirt for you!
